Custom Metal Fabrication Capabilities
We fabricate components of all shapes, sizes, and thicknesses. Our primary in-house fabrication capabilities include machining, laser cutting, finishing, forming (precision press brake work), welding, and light assembly.
Post Finishing Services – As a single source provider, we also offer the following secondaries and value-added services:
- Powder Coating – gives components a durable hard coat, available in over 300 colors
- Chem Film – also known as chemical conversion coating, is typically applied to aluminum to improve corrosion resistance
- Anodizing – surface treatment that provides both corrosion and wear resistance. Available in standard colors or clear.
- Other Coatings – we offer a variety of other metal coatings to make sure your products will perform well and last long
- Graphics /Silk Screening – design elements such as logos and other graphics can be added to improve overall aesthetics or to help promote your brand
- Pack & Wrap Warehousing/Consigned Inventory Programs – are available for contract manufacturing customers. Have a special requirement? Just ask, we’d love to help!
Dimensional Capabilities – we can custom fabricate metal parts ranging from less than an inch to several hundred inches long. We’ve done cabinets as large as 40 feet. We can work in both Imperial and metric dimensions.
We’re Equipped to Get the Job Done
Our advanced machining centers are equipped with the latest technology, allowing us to handle a wide range of custom fabrication projects with precision and efficiency. We proudly utilize an impressive lineup of modern cutting, forming, and welding equipment to deliver optimal results.
Our advanced laser cutters use the latest fiber-optic technology for cutting many types of metal including mirror polished metals, copper and brass that can only be processed on this type of equipment. Our vast in-house metal fabrication equipment allows us to offer our customers many benefits, including:
- Reduced labor hours & quicker turnarounds – We maintain over a dozen pieces of milling equipment to make sure our fabrication team are never waiting on machined components to finish an assembly.
- We run automated press forming equipment that processes jobs in minutes instead of hours. We also have one of the largest panel folders in the country with a 36” open height to form very large cabinet bodies with one operator.
- Fast, Efficient and Beautiful Welds - we utilize the latest welding equipment, including laser welding, to speed up what used to be a very time-consuming operation. We can confidently say that we have the nicest-looking welds on stainless steel that you will find anywhere.
- Large Batch Powder Coating - our coating booths and ovens are some of the largest batch processing powder coat booths and ovens in the Portland Area. This allows us to run large batches and get the panels through the process quickly and efficiently.
- Impressive Graphics, Quickly - our flatbed silk screen machine can apply graphics up to a 60” x 120” area and is entirely automated requiring very little setup time.
Materials Expertise
While stainless steel is our specialty, our custom metal fabrication capabilities extend far beyond it. We work with a diverse array of metals and finishes to ensure your design is brought to life and meets performance expectations, no matter how demanding. This versatility allows us to cater to a wide range of industries and project requirements.
- Our Materials - We typically fabricate from 300 series stainless steel, 5052 and 6061 aluminum, several types of steel, and also offer copper and brass.
- Thickness Ranges - This is available in 22g up to ¼” thickness but we can make parts of thicker and thinner. Usually .020” thick up to ¾” thick material
- Material Finishes - Typical finishes include mill finish, brushed finish (#4), mirror-like finishes (#8 or annealed), and post process finishes like powder coating, anodizing, and chem film.
